About EC Cursillo

"Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
~ Genesis 9:16

Cursillo is a spiritual journey designed to help Christians discover what is fundamental within our faith. Those who make their Cursillo (a.k.a Cursillistas) live out their experience through the perpetual "fourth day" after their first Cursillo Weekend. As a ministry of the Episcopal Church under the authority of the Presiding and Diocesan Bishop, the goal of Cursillo is to bring the world to Christ by empowering adult Christian leaders. These teachings equip and encourage Christians to live out their Baptismal Covenant by serving Christ and one another.

In the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina, we have been serving individuals seeking a closer relationship with Christ for over 30 years. Our community has come a long way from our beginnings at the former Camp Leech in Washington, NC. We now host two Cursillo Weekends at Trinity Center every spring and fall. With over 100 Cursillo weekends complete, it is our mission to grow this ministry with the help of Christ and for all the generations to come.
